We predominantly promote our services online and through social media channels and the role will involve taking charge of our sales and marketing including social media pages – through raising proposals and following up on them to ensure they meet the customers’ needs and requirements; posting/sharing appropriate articles and content and interacting with the business community.

The successful Candidate will be working closely with the owners and clients located all over the country to ensure that we capture event stories that will enable us to demonstrate the impact and deliver on delightful experiences to all our customers and their guests.
Based in our Stockport Head office, as our Events & Catering Manager, in this role you will be running, managing and organizing all client side events for the company ranging from private events to weddings, birthdays, corporate, office or anything in between
The key responsibilities of this role include:
•    Deliver world-class events with the highest of customer service standards in liaison with customers.
•    Build and maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders, decision makers and clients.
•    Have good financial acumen and be able to work within budgets and forecasts
•    Managing a structured setup and logistics of events
•    Ensure core standards and SOP's for the business are met at all times.
•    Organising staff rotas and managing labour costs.
•    Keeping to budgets and maintaining financial and administrative records.
•    Managing catering for offices etc and bringing on new contracts and relationships. Already have fantastic relationships in place
•    Creating new business and relationships – being tenacious to keep catering and events busy
•    Approaching places such as Mud runs, sporting events, strong man events trying to get events team there
•    Running P&L’s for every event and catering sale to ensure they turn profits
•    Organizing and managing the Our Mobiles catering trucks to get to different events and cities on pre-agreed pitches.
•    Working to draw crowds or groups into event venues or large group function rooms where possible.
•    When big events are on in MCR such as marathons, Crossfit events, bodybuilding shows etc – work to try and get people into our stores.
•    Liaise with design and marketing team to design and create social campaigns to drive sales and awareness for catering and events.
•    Creating taster packs for businesses and Pa’s to entice new catering business
•    Create tenders for events
•    Work to improve our catering offering/brochures etc
Candidate Requirements
•    Have experience in managing Hospitality and Events
•    Have a passion for food and service and the ability to innovate in this area.
•    Have a high degree of knowledge in Food Hygiene.
•    Ability to manage and lead large teams in various sites.
•    Show the ability to manage in a diverse and pressurised environment with a focus on client and customer service.
•    Have strong organisational and time management skills with a high degree of flexibility.
•    Be commercially focused.
•    Be a self-motivator and is ready to challenge in the interest of continuous improvement.
•    Have problem-solving skills and be confident and assertive.

Shortlisting Criteria:
Essential:
•    Catering and business/marketing related degree or equivalent experience
•    demonstrable marketing experience in a Business-to-Business environment
•    experience of managing/using social media platforms
•    knowledge and practice of writing content
•    excellent writing and communication skills.
•    Demonstrable sale record in event catering
Desirable attributes:
•    confident
•    understanding of Social Media Dynamics and what role it can play in customer engagement
•    involvement in/management of marketing campaigns
•    knowledge of creating digital content (e.g. video)
•    knowledge/experience of using InDesign, Photoshop and/or Illustrator.
