We are recruiting for Events Assistant roles to come on board with us on a casual, flexible basis for Summer 2019, at events up and down the country!

Benons Catering’s events Assistants are at the fore end of our operations. Whether it’s that essential morning cup of coffee or that well-earned treat, as an events Assistant you will warmly welcome and attend to all guests, ensure all food and drinks are prepared and presented to standard, set-up, clean and clear up after events, and recognise the opportunity to make suggestions or promote our services.

To be successful as an events Assistant, you’ll need to have experience of working in food or events operations and had some with customer facing roles experience, (preferably in a commercial food environment), the ability to make a positive first impression, a friendly, fun and approachable attitude, and will be well presented at all times.

Some of the responsibilities of this role will include (but are not limited to):

Greeting customers in a positive, friendly and timely manner

Establishing customer requirements; suggesting the most suitable products for customers

Processing and preparing food and drink orders

Serving food and drink orders to customers in a timely manner

You will seek customer feedback; escalating this feedback when required

Daily, you will operate a range of equipment, including the coffee machine, blender, grill and dishwasher, in a safe, tidy and hygienic manner

Conducting basic record keeping tasks, such as temperature checks and wastage records

Filling, replenishing and merchandising food and drink displays

Performing events set-up and close-down process when required
